I’m having an issue getting them to honor a referral I had. Says they didn’t use my link and won’t honor it. They have been putting off helping me for weeks. Just kept saying wait another week and it will post.

Does this bonus likely disqualify me from M1 bonuses in the future for a period of time? I ask because I can’t see terms on sign up page and I try to transfer to a new brokerage every year for a bonus. Currently locked into Schwab for the next 6mos. I don’t want to do this bonus if it kills a future, bigger bonus I could get transferring to M1.

1/31/24 – Opened account with RJ’s link
2/1/24 – Funded with 10k, was able to buy position same day
2/2/24 – $250 bonus posted, was able to buy more same day
Notes: Not a typical broker…you define what you want and they buy behind the scenes. Worked ok. I wanted TBIL, and they got a good execution on it. I got no notification that I was in the $250 bonus until it posted. Overall, its an interesting take on trading. I think in 30 or so days when I want some back, I can just set the limit on cash on hand to the amount I want (it is $0 now) and they should sell automatically.
How do you know bonus was attached when initial application was processed? I opened account; however, when I called to verify they want RJs email address. Did you call to verify? Or did you just link an account and deposit 10k?
I just opened the account with the link and deposited the money. I was going to call if I hadn’t heard by the end of the 30 days, but they deposited the bonus so quickly I didn’t have the chance.

Need to ask if there is a fee to transfer money out to ext bank after the 30 days? I can’t find this answer anywhere. Also im hearing new signups have to keep $50+ or we will get a $50 fee after 90 days of inactivity. I’ve never had an acct so You said your balance is 0 at the time of this recording, so want to know have you funded it recently so you can provide me a referral for $250?

Yeah, I hate it when they do promo pages like that. I linked the terms as well that show the offer and requirements just in case it’s needed later.
Thank you RJ for your reply. I have another question for you, I opened, funded the the account with the $5k and as soon as soon as it posted- I got hit with the $100 bonus! is it safe to say that I can transfer out all the funds or should I still leave the 55k in the account for 30 days?
Nice, that’s quick of them. I’d guess because they want you to be able to invest it. It’s a tough call. Proper thing to do would be leave the funds for 30 days. If you did move them, it would probably be fine but they could still claw the bonus back. Why risk it for 30 days is my opinion.
