Alaska Air is purchasing Hawaiian Airlines for $1.9 billion. Alaska is paying $18 per share in cash, a 270% premium. This includes $900 million in Hawaiian Airlines debt.
The deal still needs federal antitrust approval. If approved, it’s estimated to take 9-18 months to complete and both airlines will retain their brand names.

Thoughts
Seems like a solid bailout for the Hawaiian shareholders, as the airline has been struggling.
