Chase and Southwest are surveying cardholders on potential changes to the cobranded cards. It looks to be in response to Southwest adding assigned seating.
Survey take aways:
- Raising the annual fees
- Eliminating the anniversary points
- Adding a % discount on redemptions
- Early boarding / seat upgrade credit / seat upgrade benefit in place of the current Early Bird / Upgraded Boarding credits
There’s also a 1k points bonus for completing the survey.

Too early to tell, though hiking an annual fee usually doesn’t end well.
