Later this year Hotels.com, Expedia, & Vrbo will come under one brand with a unified loyalty program – One key.
OMAAT has discovered this new loyalty program will result in a big devaluation from those use to using Hotels.com.
Currently, you can get about 10x back when going through Hotels.com. Under One Key this valuation drops to 2x back.
Current earn rate
- As a Hotels.com Rewards member, collect one stamp for every eligible room night stayed. Upon collecting 10 stamps, earn one reward night. The value of a reward night is the average price (before taxes and fees) of the 10 stamps collected.
One Key earn rate
- As a One Key member, earn 2% in OneKeyCash for every $1 spent1 on eligible stays, car rentals, activities, packages, and cruises. Earn 0.2% in OneKeyCash for every $1 spent1on eligible flight bookings in addition to any airline loyalty program earnings. For example, you will earn $10 in OneKeyCash on $500 of spend.
The current Stamps value in your account will transfer over to the new program without losing any value.

Thoughts
I’ve never used the program myself. As I understand it, this is/was a good option for those who didn’t want to belong to a specific chain’s loyalty program.
