Thoughts
Marking this nationwide as I’ve seen a few success stories of out of town folks getting in. Naturally I tried and was thrown out. Jovia also has a few other bonuses on the same landing page if you’re interested.
This turned out to be a nice $200 bonus.
Opened account on 7/5/23.
Real direct deposit $100 on 7/28/23.
Real direct deposit $101 on 8/29/23.
$50 referral bonus hit on 9/13/23.
Emailed Jovia about $150 bonus on 9/18/23.
$150 bonus posted on the same days as the email.
Thank you RJ for putting up this site!
Get additional $50 Bonus by using my Referral Code 329735.
When you open account with this referral code with a minimum initial deposit of $100. $100 minimum initial deposit must be met within two weeks of account opening and must remain in account for 90 days.
T&C:
Offer available for new, first-time Go Green and CareFree Checking accounts with a reoccurring minimum direct deposit of $100 in the checking account within 60 days of account opening.
RJ,
I understood “reoccurring minimum” as:
we need recurring DD of min $100 each month until Bonus posts. Let me know what you think
Always a tough call. Many banks write it this way. It either means payroll, that would be reoccurring. Or two in succession. I usually go with one DD unless they specify it has to be two. I’ve been burned once on that by SECU.
You’re out of here RJ. lol
Ha it was a long shot but had to give it a shot
General question. When you get denied for Chex, how long do you typically wait before giving it another try at applying? Like with Jovia for example, will you wait another few weeks and try again?
If I’m close to a branch I will go in and try again immediately. I’ve only had Chex brought up in branch once. If not, I may revisit it eventually if it pops up months later in my feed. Generally with credit unions I try once and move on. My Chex won’t be any better the next go around. I may also give it another go if I see reports of folks who normally get blocked starting to get approved.
