Marriott has made adjustments to the Suite Night Awards
Beginning in early 2024, Suite Night Awards™ will be called Nightly Upgrade Awards and will include these changes:
- Participating Brands will be expanded to include The Ritz-Carlton®, EDITION®, Aloft®, Element®, and Protea Hotels®.
- Marriott Bonvoy® Members can access nearly 20% more room inventory when redeeming their awards for upgrades, including Premium Rooms and Suites with features like oceanfront views, balconies and extra space.
- Upgrade requests will be confirmed closer to check-in, starting three days prior to arrival.
Thoughts
Mixed changed. From what I understand, it was hard to get an actual suite any way. The new name is more accurate. Extra inventory and more brands is a nice touch. As always we’ll have to see how that translates to real world use.
