- This has become a misleading bonus. The card is a credit builder card of sorts. Once used (which is a requirement) Step reports it to the credit agencies. This would likely count as a 5/24 slot. I’ve seen the note from customer service on this complements of a channel member.

I just read in some DoC comments that this accounts reports as a tradeline; i.e. it will count against your Chase 5/24 status. One user said this account is more of a secured credit card than a checking account. I was about to sign up for this before I found this out. Chase slots are worth around $1000 to me and am currently gardening my Chase 5/24 status; so I’ll be skipping this one unfortunately.
Any specific amount to direct deposit for the bonus?
